MANILA, Philippines - The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) said yesterday it has mobilized its personnel to monitor buses, ferries, restaurants and other public places in the country following reports that some of them have been exhibiting films that contain too much violent or sexual content.
The MTRCB issued marching orders to all its deputies to “strictly monitor all public exhibition of motion pictures in public utilities, which must be either ‘G’ or ‘PG’ classification rating only.”
The MTRCB will coordinate with other law enforcement agencies for the strict enforcement of the guidelines on public film showings.
