MANILA, Philippines - The Malabon City police’s most wanted person – the subject of five arrest warrants, including one for the murder of a retired Malabon police chief – was arrested Wednesday after he reportedly beat up a barangay officer.
Superintendent Reynaldo Orante, Malabon City police acting chief, said Noel Alonsabe, 33, alias “Hapon Laki,” a resident of Barangay Dampalit, was sought by the local police for the killing of former Malabon City police chief Superintendent Dante Buenaventura six years ago.
Alonsabe is also wanted by the Bulacan police for a string of cases, Orante said. He has pending warrants of arrest for robbery in band, frustrated homicide, and attempted robbery before the Malolos, Bulacan Regional Trial Court Branch 17.
He has another warrant of arrest before the Navotas City court for an illegal possession of firearms case in 2003, Orante said.
“Alonsabe is so infamous that a Malabon City police chief issued a shoot to kill order to the local police,” Orante told The STAR yesterday.
Chief Inspector Estelito Peniano Jr., Malabon City police Sub-station 5 commander, said that at midnight Wednesday, Reynaldo Pasolohan, 33, executive officer of Barangay Dampalit, sought their help after Alonsabe reportedly beat him.
