MANILA, Philippines - Armed men robbed two branches of the remittance firm LBC in Marikina City and molested three women employees.
The local police are trying to determine whether a single group robbed the LBC branches in Barangays Parang and San Roque.
Reports reaching Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Superintendent Francisco Manalo stated that the robbers barged into the LBC branch along G. Molina street in Barangay Parang at about 10:40 a.m.
At gunpoint, the suspects grabbed P7,500, $100, a Sony Ericson cellphone, an LBC phone, and the wallet and jewelry of two women employees.
In the San Roque heist staged barely two hours later, the robbers grabbed P20,000, a body bag containing P2,200, two ATM cards, two credit cards, an iPod and jewelry of a woman employee.
The suspects hogtied the two LBC employees in Barangay Parang, molested them then left them in the office bathroom.
The woman employee in Barangay San Roque was also molested by the robbers, police said.
Manalo ordered a massive manhunt for the robbers.
