MANILA, Philippines - A man died after he was stabbed by a fellow porter he had been arguing with at a wet market in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Senior Police Officer 2 Diosdado Peralta said Jun Maranan, 39, died on the spot outside North Diversion Market along EDSA in Balintawak at around 7:45 a.m.
Peralta said they have yet to identify the man who killed Maranan but they believe the attacker was also a porter working at the same market.
Prior to the stabbing, the victim was seen having a heated argument with his attacker. However, it was not immediately clear what the two men were fighting about.
At the height of the argument, the attacker drew a knife, repeatedly stabbed the victim, then fled as Maranan fell.
