MANILA, Philippines - The body of a teenaged girl was found along Roxas Boulevard in Parañaque City yesterday morning.
Senior Police Officer 1 Allan Abarra of the Parañaque Police Investigation Division, said Consolacion Bagting, an employee of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, found the body at around 9 a.m.
Police described the unidentified girl to be between 14 to 16 years old, wearing an off-white blouse and yellow shorts.
Abarra said the victim sustained injuries on the face and bruises on the different parts of the body. Her body was brought to the Veronica Funeral Homes in Pasay City for autopsy.
Senior Superintendent Alfredo Valdez, Parañaque police chief, said they received information that the girl was a member of a group reportedly engaged in sniffing contact cement fumes.
Valdez added a follow-up investigation is being conducted on the incident. – Rhodina Villanueva
