MANILA, Philippines - Police have launched a manhunt against a group of teenage thrill killers who reportedly shot dead a delivery boy and injured his companion in what was described as a senseless killing in Sampaloc, Manila at past midnight yesterday.
Glenn Palada, 24, and Vender Perol, 24, both delivery boys of Royal Mart Merchandising, were reportedly walking to work when they chanced upon the suspects at the corner of M. de la Fuente and Fajardo streets at around12:45 a.m.
Without provocation, one of the suspects shot the victims in the head. Although wounded, the victims were able to run back to their house. Relatives rushed the men to the Ospital ng Sampaloc, where Palada was declared dead on arrival.
Police identified three of the suspects through their aliases as “Patotot,” “Wewe,” and “Marvin.” The group reportedly belongs to a street gang. – Nestor Etolle
