2 Muslim drug suspects collared in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines – Northern Police District anti-illegal drugs agents arrested two alleged dreaded pushers during a buy-bust operation Monday in Caloocan City.

Chief Inspector Jay Agcaoili, NPD anti-illegal drugs division chief, said the suspects Kudting Zainal, 23, alias “Abdul” and Salindato Kompania, 21, both natives of Cotabato, yielded two sachets of shabu worth P7,000. The suspects, now detained at the NPD detention cell, are facing charges of drug pushing before the office of Caloocan City assistant prosecutor Darwin Cañete, with no bail recommended.

Agcaoili’s men, led by Senior Inspector Crisanto Lleva, arrested the suspects in front of the Eternal Garden cemetery in Bagong Barrio at around 3:45 p.m.

“We have information claiming that two notorious pushers who arrived from Mindanao two months ago and are staying at Baseco Compound in Tondo, are the new suppliers of “Openg,” another drug peddler in Bagong Barrio,” PO2 Ariosto Rana, NPD anti-illegal drugs division prober, told The STAR.

PO3 Reynante Mananghaya acted as the poseur buyer after a police “asset” contacted Kompania in Tondo for the delivery of two sachets of shabu in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City.  – Pete Laude
