MANILA, Philippines - The Task Force Against Illegal Recruitment (TFAIR) arrested a woman for allegedly offering non-existent jobs at a resort in Maldives.
TFAIR operations chief, Senior Superintendent Gilbert Sosa, said in the weekly radio program “Para Sa Iyo Bayan” of Vice President and TFAIR chair Noli De Castro that they arrested Patricia Panlaqui in an entrapment operation at the food court of a mall in Mandaluyong City.
Panlaqui is detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center. Her alleged victims said Panlaqui asked for P25,000 as processing fees when she recruited them to work as nurse and front office associate at a resort in Maldives. – Pia Lee-Brago
