MANILA, Philippines – A fire razed a row of apartment units in Cubao, Quezon City early yesterday, destroying about P3 million worth of property.
Reports reaching the Quezon City Fire District stated that the blaze broke out at the row of apartment units, reportedly owned by Lydia Damason, on 6th Avenue in Barangay San Roque at 1:44 a.m. Firefighters put the flames under control at 2:55 a.m.
Arson investigator Senior Fire Officer 1 Jose Arreza said 10 families occupying 12 apartments in the two-story building were affected, though no one was hurt in the fire.
As of yesterday, fire investigators were still determining what caused the blaze. Arreza said the fire reportedly started at a unit occupied by Angelita Manalo and spread to adjacent units. – Reinir Padua
