MANILA, Philippines - A man reportedly stabbed dead a neighbor who tried to kill him some two years ago in Caloocan City Saturday.
Police are looking for Condrado Mendoza, a resident of Kaunlaran Village in Dagat-Dagatan for allegedly killing Raffy Mendoza, 24. A cousin of the victim said the two men are not related.
“Condrado killed Raffy, my cousin, out of vengeance for he was nearly killed by Raffy in a neighborhood brawl some two years ago,” the cousin said, adding that Condrado survived a knife attack by Raffy.
Police Officer 3 Albert Juanillo said Condrado, armed with a knife, confronted Raffy while he was in a drinking bout with friends along Tatampal Alley in Dagat-Dagatan at around 10:30 p.m.
Raffy tried to flee but Condrado cornered him after a brief chase and stabbed him twice in the chest. The victim was brought to the nearby Pagamutang Bayan ng Malabon for treatment but died along the way.
According to Raffy’s cousin, Condrado did not file any charges against Raffy for the attack two years ago. – Pete Laude
