The body of a still unidentified man was found at a grassy lot in Novaliches, Quezon City early yesterday.
Police said the man, possibly a victim of summary execution, was dumped along a road in Sierra Villa subdivision in Barangay Nagka isang Nayon.
Reports said the body, which was wrapped with black garbage bags, was discovered at around 1:30 a.m. by residents.
Police officers who initially examined the body said the victim, who had tattoos on different parts of his body, appeared to be between 16 and 20 years old. The victim’s feet and hands were tied using galvanized iron wire, and his whole head wrapped in transparent plastic secured by packaging tape.
Last week, the body parts of a man were found in five boxes dumped along major roads in Caloocan City and Rizal. However, unlike the body of the man found in Quezon City, the mutilated victim’s skin was clear of tattoos and appeared to have been washed.
Police have yet to identify the man, whose genitals are still reportedly missing. – Michael Punongbayan
