A houseboy suspected to have stabbed dead a former barangay councilman and his live-in partner in Las Piñas City Tuesday has been arrested.
Joseph Flores, 21, allegedly killed Jose Pagtakhan, 69; and Teresita Resuena, 61, in the couple’s house at San Antonio Valley in Barangay Talon 4. The victims sustained stab wounds in different parts of their bodies.
Police investigators said Flores destroyed the couple’s steel cabinet, where they kept their cash and valuables, before he made his escape.
Sosito added the police has launched a manhunt against two more suspects who reportedly helped Flores kill the two victims.
Senior Superintendent John Sosito, Las Piñas police chief, said that after the incident, they immediately coordinated with police officials in Flores’ hometown of Iriga in Camarines Sur.
A team led by Superintendent Tomasito Clet of the Iriga police arrested Flores and recovered P100,000, assorted jewelry and cell phones he allegedly stole from his employers.
Sosito said double murder and robbery charges have been filed against Flores, who is detained at the police station after being turned over to them Thursday night.
