LPG dealer hangs self

A dealer of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was found dead by his helper in what appeared to be a suicide case at his house in Caloocan City. Police identified the victim as Rustico Delina, 42, married, native of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija and with last known address at Phase 3, Package 2, Block 22 in Bagong Silang.

PO2 Noel Albis, officer on case, said Delina was found dead by his store helper Randolf Gutierrez and a neighbor, Rodolfo Geocaniga, at the second floor of his house at around 8 a.m. yesterday.

Gutierrez told probers his boss faced the window and a leather belt around his neck was tied to a concrete nail.

The witnesses sought police assistance. The Scene of the Crime Operatives led by chief Inspector Benigno Asilar Jr. quickly responded. Asilar and his team recovered a suicide note the victim left for his family.

The victim told his family he left them some P50,000 in cash kept in a black bag and apologized to them for what he did.

The family did not say what could have moved the victim from killing himself.
