Security firm exec shot dead in Malabon

An executive of a security agency was shot dead by at least four armed suspects in front of his house in Malabon City yesterday morning.

Chief Inspector Romeo Odrada, city police investigation chief, identified the victim as Nelson Tibor, 56, personnel manager of the Triple E Security Agency Corp.

Prior to the shooting, Tibor was seen talking to fellow officers at the firm’s office on Mejorada street, located on the ground floor of his two-story residence. Two men acted as lookouts on the other side of the street as two of their companions were eating at a nearby eatery, police said.

Probers said the suspects had been seen casing their quarry several days before the killing.

Police sources told The STAR the killing could be related to labor claims filed by the suspect and two of the agency’s co-owners against their former employer, also a security agency. The cases are still being heard. – Jerry Botial
