Japanese nationals face human trafficking raps

Two Japanese nationals were recently charged with human trafficking before the Manila City Regional Trial Court (MCRTC).

Second Assistant City Prosecutor Maria Gene Julianda-Sarmiento recommended that no bail be given to Yasuyuki Ishida, alias “Sacho;” and Toshihiko Nakamura. The given address of both men is 2521 Room 3D Popular Place building in Malate, Manila.

The National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) apprehended Ishida, but Nakamura remains at large.

Court records showed that on Nov. 20, the NBI-NCR received information that a certain Sacho was allegedly operating a prostitution den and hiring persons to engage in pornography.

NBI-NCR agents raided the alleged prostitution den at the two suspects’ given address. The lawmen arrested Ishida, houseboy Archieval Perez, and four young women who were reportedly wearing skimpy attire while sitting in front of laptop computers chatting with clients.

During the raid, the NBI-NCR agents seized six Fujitsu computer laptops with complete accessories.        – Evelyn Macairan
