3 kids who went caroling still missing

Three kids who went caroling on Christmas Eve in Caloocan City have failed to return home for Noche Buena and remain missing to this day.

The distraught parents of Rodel Fojas, 10 and his brother Nico, 6, and their playmate Mark Anthony Galano, 7, neighbors on Biglang-Awa Street in Caloocan City, reported the missing kids to the police after failing to locate them in all likely places they may have gone.

Leysa, mother of the Fojas kids, told police the children asked for permission to go out caroling in the neighborhood at 5 p.m. and promised to go home for Noche Buena. She gave them permission.

Fojas said they have looked everywhere including at the Mandaluyong social welfare offices where they thought missing children were taken for board and shelter until they are claimed by family and relatives.

Lorna Galano, Mark Anthony’s mother, said they are alarmed for their kids whom they suspect might have already been taken by criminal elements or syndicates preying on children.

SPO1 Feliciano Almojuela, chief investigator of the Caloocan police, said all police stations in his area of responsibility have been notified and are monitoring the case. Also, pictures of the missing children have been sent out so that they may be found and returned to their families soonest. – Jerry Botial
