Ayon kay PNP Chief Director General Oscar Calderon, ang panibagong reorganisasyon sa hanay ng mga opisyal ng PNP ay kaugnay ng pagreretiro ngayong taon ng mga nakatalaga sa key positions sa Directorial Staff, Police Regional Offices at National Support Units.
Ang panibagong rigodon sa huling bahagi ng taon ay alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng mga Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board (SOPPB) na pinamumunuan ni Deputy Director General Avelino Razon Jr., Deputy Chief of Administration.

Andres Caro II, Acting Regional Director, Police Regional Office (PRO) II; Chief Supt. Pedro Tango, Acting District Director ng Northern Police District; Chief Supt. Roberto Rosales, Acting District Director ng Southern Police District; Sr. Supt. Fidel Cimatu Jr., Acting Deputy Director for Plans; Sr. Supt. Raul Castañeda, Acting Deputy Director ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group; Sr. Supt. Orlando Mabutas, Acting Executive Director, Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development; Sr. Supt. Rolando Anoñuevo, Acting Deputy Director ng Intelligence Group at Acting Task Force Commander ng Task Force Sanglahi; Sr. Supt. Samantala, sina Director Rodolfo Tor, kasalukuyang Director for Plans at Chief Supt. Ricardo Quinto ng Police Regional Office (PRO) II ay itinalaga naman pansamantala sa tanggapan ni Chief PNP, ayon kay PNP Spokesman Sr. Supt.
