Pakistani trader’s killer surrenders

A security guard who shot dead a Pakistani trader during an argument in Pasig City last Thursday surrendered to a police official at Camp Crame last Friday, police officials said yesterday.

Danilo Celso, 45, of the Cavisa Security Agency and resident of Cluster T. Cogeo, Barangay Nayon in Antipolo City, turned himself in to Senior Superintendent Rodrigo de Gracia, deputy chief of the Headquarters Support Service (HSS) in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

De Gracia is a former San Juan police chief and provincial director of Cagayan province.

He turned over Celso yesterday to Senior Superintendent Francisco Uyami Jr., Pasig City police chief.

At the police station, Celso admitted shooting Pakistani national Yousuf Saeed, 65, a businessman and resident of the Belson Manor Condominium on Firefly Street, Valle Verde Subdivision Phase 6 in Barangay Ugong.

However, Celso refused to say why he killed Saeed, a free-lance photographer and president of the homeowners association of the condo.

Uyami said Celso shot Saeed twice following an argument at the parking lot of the condominium at 1 p.m. last Thursday.
