On orders of TMG director Chief Superintendent Errol Pan, investigators have ordered Eric G. Mijares, a resident of Block 4, Lot 7 Veraville, M. Alvarez street, Talon, Las Piñas to appear at the TMG office inside the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
Chief Inspector Edwin Butacan, TMG spokesman, said Mijares is the registered owner of a red car (PRP-877), which figured in the incident.
Information on Mijares was taken from the database of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Mijares’ vehicle smashed into the car of STAR executive editor Ana Marie T. Pamintuan, when she stopped for a red light on the inner lane of the east-bound section of Sucat Road in Evacom last Sunday night.
As Pamintuan got out of the vehicle to inspect the damage, the other driver backed out his car, pulled over briefly beside the victim’s car, then sped away.
The hood of the red car was crumpled. Pamintuan was able to take down the plate number of the car as it sped away.
Pan has ordered TMG National Capital Region to investigate the incident. – Cecille Suerte Felipe
