2 killed in C-5 Road mishaps

Two people were killed in two separate accidents along C-5 Road recently.

The first fatality was an unidentified woman who was accidentallyhit by a car in Taguig the other day.

In a report to Police Chief Inspector Virgilio Ilomin of the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in Taguig City, PO3 Jennifer Palaghicon, officer-on-case, described the victim as wearing dark brown pants and a pink blouse, 40 years old or above, and about 5’ 1" tall.

She sustained multiple fractures in different parts of the body and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The driver, identified as Ruel Ansing, 20, a Quezon City resident, voluntarily surrendered to the police.

The accident occured along the northbound lane of C-5 Road, fronting a Petron gasoline station in Ususan, Taguig City.

Police said the woman was crossing the road when she was accidentally hit by a passing Toyota Innova, with license plate ZET-187, driven by Ansing. The victim was rushed to the Ospital ng Makati by a certain Art Clavo.

The second incident happened early yesterday morning also along C-5 Road in the Pasig City area.

SPO3 Luisito Enriquez, investigator of the Traffic Management Group (TMG), identified the victim as Ferdinand Pangasinan of Santolan, Pasig City.

The victim, who died on the spot, sustained multiple fractures and a crushed skull.

The suspect was identified as Angelito Alloones, 24, driver of the Isuzu Forward delivery truck, with license plate XSA-199, and resident of Makati City.

Police said the accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. yesterday in Barangay Ugong.

The victim was driving a Yamaha motorcycle, with license plate FP-7442, when the suspect sideswiped his vehicle.

The victim was thrown off the motorcycle and was ran over by the truck.

Enriquez, who was driving a motorcycle, chased the truck a few minutes, which ended in Libis, Quezon City.

The suspect surrendered to the Libis-Quezon City police.

Both suspects will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to homicide, police said. — Sandy Araneta
