PRC sets teachers’ licensure examination

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the holding of the licensure examination for teachers (LET) on Aug. 27.

Registration is now going on at the PRC offices on Paredes street, Sampaloc, Manila.

For first time examinees deadline on May 31 while for repeaters the deadline is April 20.

Documents needed for registration are the application form; birth certificate (original and photocopy); transcript of records with special order; marriage contract (if married); three identical copies of passport photo with name tag; three documentary stamps; and P900 registration fee.

To prepare for the examination, UPDATE Inc. a group of former UP professors, is offering a 10-Saturday review class at the Benitez Alumni Center, Magsaysay Avenue, UP Diliman Campus, Quezon City, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from April 29 to July 1.

The review will cover PRC test procedures, test wiseness, English, Filipino, Mathematics, Philosophical and Psychological Foundations of Education, teaching principles and strategies, measurement and evaluation among others.

Active as well as retired UP and PNU professors have been invited to conduct the review.
