25 new full colonels at PNP

Police superintendents, whose promotions to the next higher rank (full colonel) were approved by Malacañang, were urged by Philippine National Police chief Director General Arturo Lomibao to work hard in helping the government combat terrorism and other crimes.

Lomibao administered the oath of office to the 25 newly promoted police officials during a simple ceremony at Camp Crame in Quezon City yesterday.

"Give your best performance in helping the PNP leadership carry out the marching order of the Commander-in-Chief to intensify the campaign against crime and terrorism and to uphold the law," Lomibao said.

The new senior superintendents are Wilben Mayor; Benigno Durana; Amon Apolinario; Dennis Siervo; Robert Po; Elmer Beltejar; Malvin Ramon Buenafe; Elmo Francis Saroma; Jose Victor Ramos; Pio Manito; Abraham Orbita; Ted Pedronisto Quiaño, Manuel Cubillo; Cesar Hawthrone Binag; Rolando Asuncion; Reginoo Catiis; Edwin Ronan; Jonathan Ablang; Archie Franciso Gamboa; Timoteo Pacleb; Danilo Peralta; Amado Clifton Empiso; Melvin Mongcal; Edwin Carranza and Ma. O Aplasca.

The promotion of the 25 officers was earlier approved by Interior and Local Government Secretary Angelo Reyes, who is concurrent chairman of the National Police Commission (Napolcom).
