A report to Superintendent Gerry Galvan, special investigation division chief of the Pasig City police, said the male victim was found at around 6 a.m. along Eusebio Avenue in San Miguel, Pasig City.
The report said the victim had a computer cable wire tied around his neck. Both hands were tied with galvanized iron wire.
A police team, led by Inspector Marilyn Lopez, conducted an examination of the scene.
The body was later brought to the Philippine National Police (PNP) crime laboratory for autopsy.
Police investigators said it was possible the victim was killed elsewhere and his body was dumped in the canal. – Sandy Araneta
