Boy in accidental shooting dies

The six-year-old boy, who was among those accidentally shot by two policemen during a supposed chase of a suspect last week, died yesterday morning at the hospital.

Sharville Christian Godeluna, of Tecson street, Project 4, died about 8 a.m. due to multiple organ failure at the Quezon Memorial Medical Center, police said. He had been under observation at the hospital since Nov. 9 for sustaining a gunshot wound in the head.

Police investigation disclosed that Marcos and Mojica, who were allegedly drunk, figured in an altercation with another man last Sunday after coming from a friend’s house.

The two suspects then chased the unidentified man while firing shots in the air.

The chase continued all the way to Pelaez street, Project 4, where the boy was playing with other kids.

Shots fired by the the policemen hit Godeluna and three other men identified as Eric Llagas, 23; Romulo Alarcon, 20; and Edgar Icaciano, 24, all from Proj. 4.

Last Thursday, the court allowed the release of Marcos and Mojica from jail after the two posted bail amounting to P520,000. Katherine Adraneda
