Boss goes berserk inside Makati office

An owner of a courier service went berserk after some 20 of his employees reportedly heckled him at a meeting Monday morning in Makati City.

Suspect Anthony Solcruz, reportedly a policeman who had gone AWOL, shot at his employees and nearly hit Rhodel Capisonda.

Capisonda, 32, messenger, of Barangay BF International, Las Piñas City, sustained minor burns and a mark after the bullet grazed his nape. He was brought to the Ospital ng Maynila for treatment.

Investigation showed the incident happened at around 9 a.m. near the Shell House on Valero Street, Salcedo Village.

The employees gathered for a meeting to discuss what they should do after Solcruz, owner of the BLM Courier Agency on Fortuna street, Barangay Olympia, Makati, failed to give them their salaries last July 20, said case investigator, PO2 Juancho Ibis.

The suspect apparently got wind of the meeting and showed up to explain.

But police gathered that the employees did not believe Solcruz’s explanation and allegedly began to heckle him.

This irked the suspect who pulled out a homemade caliber .38 as the employees scampered to different directions.

Solcruz fired twice but the gun did not go off, police said.

On his third try, the bullet nearly hit Capisonda. Solcruz fled on board his vehicle and remains at large.

Makati police homicide chief, Senior Inspector Florante Jose said Solcruz was a policeman with a rank of Police Officer 1 in Region 3 before he went AWOL. Jose said Solcruz suspected Capisonda was planning to file a complaint against him with the labor department. – Nikko Dizon
