The STAR also gathered that the district crime lab unit, the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) was not called.
Victim Rolando Osorio was found by his wife bloodied from a gunshot wound in the chest inside one of the rooms in their four-story house at 6 Asuzena street, Longos, Malabon.
The murder weapon was missing, and the identity of the suspect unknown.
Initial investigation showed that at around 9:30 p.m., Osorio’s wife was at the master’s bedroom when she heard noise coming from the adjacent room. She told investigators that when she went to the other room and opened the door, she saw her husband on the floor. She and her son Gil, 25, rushed Osorio to the Manila Central University Hospital, where the victim later died.
Police said Osorio bore a gunshot wound in the chest and another in the forearm.
When police went to check the room where the shooting supposedly happened, they found out that all traces of blood have been cleaned up and the room put back in order. Not a single bullet hole was found in the room or other significant piece of evidence to shed light on the killing. – Jerry Botial
