QC general hospital gets national boost

The underprivileged residents of Quezon City will soon be spared from worrying about health care, that is once the Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) gets a much-needed rehabilitation.

Mayor Feliciano Belmonte said the city council has won the backing of no less than President Arroyo in the repair and rehab of the hospital which is expected to benefit more than two million sick people.

Dr. Cynthia Fabregas, a local physician, said the rehab of the QCGH will definitely be a good news to the city's residents. "The rehabilitation plan is a welcome breather for the residents of Quezon City specifically for our less fortunate brothers in the community who cannot afford even the generic medicines more so the cost of hospitalization in private institutions," she said.
