In a letter to Bernardo, Arroyo said no one is to be exempted from his request. He has not, and will never authorize anybody to enter into any transaction in the bureau in his behalf, Arroyo said.
The First Gentleman said he has received intelligence reports that his critics are set to launch a "demolition campaign" against him anchored on smuggling in the Bureau of Customs and other illegal activities in various government agencies.
Arroyo had earlier written Interior and Local Government Secretary Jose Lina, Philippine National Police Director-General Leandro Mendoza and Justice Secretary Hernando Perez asking them to arrest anybody who will drag his name into any illegal activity.
