Aguilar said Oplan Sagip Mata aims to provide cataract victims in Las Piñas with free operations which are expensive in private clinics and hospitals. City ophthalmologists Danny Constantino II and Jeffrey Junio led the campaign along with other volunteer doctors from the Resources for the Blind, a non-government organization helping blind people.
"The right to quality and accessible health services is a right of every individual, and my administration in recognition of this right, commits to make our health services such as eye surgery and eye treatment available to our people free of charge," Aguilar said.
Dr. Julio Javier, the Lying-In Centers director also announced residents, particularly those who cannot afford expensive eye treatment may visit the clinic located along J. Aguilar street in Barangay CAA, or call 829-5572 for cataract operation schedule.
Las Piñas City has been providing city residents free health services which include free hospitalization, medical and dental, maternity and child delivery and provision of free medicines.
