Yoon Pan Young, 27, told police through her husband Jo Dong Yun that at about 9:30 p.m. while the tricycle was traversing Fresno street, a man wearing a black helmet blocked it and took her bag before escaping.
The money was reportedly in dollar bills totalling $23,000 which is roughly P1.15 million. Aside from the cash, Yoon also lost her Nokia 3310 cellphone and various credit cards.
Yoon was reportedly on her way to her husbands office at Kaya Tour Company located along Donada street, Pasay City when the robbery occurred. Jo works as general manager of the travel agency.
The Korean couple resides at the nearby Asiawealth Condominium along Leveriza street in Pasay.
Based on the investigation by the Pasay City police, the motorcycle had no license plates and the type of handgun used in the robbery could not be determined.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old trader out to visit his ailing mother died after he was hit by a speeding FX taxi Saturday night in Navotas.
PO3 Raymundo Bautista, said that Vic Marabe, a Navotas resident, succumbed to severe fractures and hemorrhage.
The still unidentified driver of a Tamaraw FX taxi (TPK 881) sped off after seeing the victim thrown several meters due to the impact, investigation showed.
