Gun-toting priest stops 2 robbers

Two robbers chose the wrong man to victimize when they preyed on an alert gun-toting priest in Pasay City early yesterday morning.

Samuel Samson, 49, married, driver, and his son Christian, 21, jobless, both residents of 119 F. Progreso St., Pasay City are now detained at the Pasay City Jail for their mistake.

Police investigation showed the incident occurred while the father-and-son robbery tandem and their prospective victim, Fr. Rico Nobleza, were on board a Baclaran-bound jeepney cruising along EDSA Extension at around 5:30 a.m.

Suddenly, Samuel, who was sitting in front of Nobleza, pulled out a fan knife and ordered the priest to hand over all his cash and valuables. – Rainier Allan Ronda
