Initial police reports said victim Antonio Trilles, 50, of 638 Vicente Cruz St., Sampaloc, was busy posting campaign materials for Bacani at the corner of Ventura and Sobriedad streets at about 3:00 a.m. when he was allegedly approached by Danilo Isidro, 49, kagawad of Barangay 547 Zone 54. Reports said Isidro was reportedly angry at Trilles for being so noisy in posting the campaign materials. According to reports, it was during their quarrel that Trilles fell to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement.
Trilles was taken to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Tayuman where he was confined. He died yesterday at 8 a.m. reportedly from his head injuries.
Homicide probers of the Western Police District said they will be summoning Isidro to shed light on the incident. – Mike Frialde
