CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government and the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. yesterday signed a memorandum of agreement for the repair of pediatrics and obstetrics wards at the city hospital in barangay Gun-ob.
Mayor Paz Radaza signed the MOA in behalf of the city government of Lapu-Lapu while Augusto Carpio III signed in behalf of the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.
Also present during the signing of the MOA were Jon Ramon Aboitiz, president of the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc, Vice Mayor Marcial Ycong, and city hospital chief Dr. Bolivar Miñoza.
Under the agreement, Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. will help refurbish the obstetrics and pediatrics wards and donate hospital beds.
The project will need P1,673,375.
The foundation will donate P1,256,412 while the city will take care of construction materials that will have total cost of P416,962. – (FREEMAN)
