Man has wife, lover arrested

CEBU, Philippines - A man had his wife arrested yesterday dawn for living with another person in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.

Suzette Urot, 29, married, and her alleged paramour Ramilo Ytang, 39 of Villaba, Leyte were arrested by men from the Basak police station on the strength of a complaint filed by Robert Urot, 38, of Zone Monggos, Paknaan, Mandaue City.

Urot alleged that his wife works at the Mactan Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) in Lapu-Lapu City. He said his wife had told him earlier that she would rent a room so she could be near her place of work.

When asked where she will be staying, he said his wife didn’t want him to know. That made him suspicious.

Last night, he followed her to her rented room and there found her and her alleged paramour living together.

He asked her to come home with him.

His wife did come home with him but stayed for a while. She told him she was going back to her rented room to get her uniform.

When the wife did not come back, Urot followed her again but Ytang, her paramour, told him to leave her alone to avoid scandal.

Urot went to the police.

The wife and her lover were arrested.

Ytang was detained at the Basak police station while Urot, the wife, was detained at the Opao police station.

Urot said he is ready to forgive but would no longer live with her since they do not have children after six years of marriage.

But he said he will file adultery charges against them.
