CEBU, Philippines - Expect more tourists to flock to Olango Island in Lapu-Lapu City.
Mayor Paz Radaza, during a visit there the other day, promised to pour resources into the island for the welfare of residents and for the improvement of the bird sanctuary in barangay Sabang as well.
Radaza and other city officials visited Olango Island to know the status of the projects her administration is implementing and projects funded by the Priority Assistance Development Fund of her husband Congressman Arturo Radaza.
The bird sanctuary is being maintained by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) regional office.
Olango and its six small satellite islands are also proud of the Talima Marine Sanctuary in Olango island. (FREEMAN)
