Road turned over after rehabilitation

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road now looks good as new after its repair courtesy of the P3 million sixth district Rep. Gabriel Luis Quisumbing had donated.

The fully rehabilitated national road links Mandaue City to the northern part of the province.

Quisumbing initiated for its rehabilitation after residents in the area endorsed the problem to his district office because of big potholes.

It Engineer Dassy Capuyan said the rehabilitated road covered 189 meters long with a width of 50 meters.

Quisumbing personally turned over the rehabilitated road to barangay officials of Maguikay and Paknaan yesterday morning after its blessing.

Earlier, the legislator said that  he won’t talk about politics yet since it is still more than a year before elections will take place but would rather keep himself busy in his road repair and drainage projects in view of the coming rainy season.

Last week, he also turned over the newly rehabilitated Logarta road in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue Cty to barangay officials headed by barangay captain Ernie Manatad. – (FREEMAN)
