CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government plans to turn the unfinished building that stands near the Muelle Osmeña in barangay Poblacion in Lapu-Lapu City into a commercial enterprise by offering space or stalls to Muslim traders.
The structure, which was started during the administration of the late mayor Ernest Weigel, Jr., has been idle for more than ten years now and is occupied by some vendors who sell vegetables and other agricultural products at the ground floor on weekends.
“Gitan-aw pa gayud nato karon nga magamit gayud nato ang maong edepisyo kay dako man gyud kaayo kini ug gasto,” Radaza said.
In related development, Radaza said available stalls are being raffled off to vendors who wish to do business in the newly renovated public market.
She said not all vendors who have applied for stalls will be accommodated. (FREEMAN)
