CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Police Provincial director Patrocinio Comendador visited yesterday morning in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City where a satellite police station will be constructed.
Supt. Eddie Recamara, chief of Talisay City Police Station, said the purpose for Comendador’s visit was to see the viability of the location.
Instead of putting up a concrete structure, Recamara said two 10-footer vans will be put in place that will serve as their satellite office.
The TCPS extension, which will be built under the Tabunok flyover, was already approved by the city council last month, on motion of Vice Mayor Alan Bucao.
Bucao, who is chairman on council committee on Peace and Order, said the project mimics those in big cities such as Makati, San Juan, and even Metro Manila where the Metro Manila Development Authorities (MMDA) has built its offices under flyovers.
The project is designed to be visible, he said.
Recamara said this new police outpost will have its own desk officer, and a team of TCPS mobile group.
