Consolacion town to mark 92nd founding anniversary Feb. 14

CEBU, Philippines - The municipal council of Consolacion has approved a resolution that seeks to introduce a temporary adjustment to the flow of traffic at the national road in connection with the celebration of the “Adlaw sa Consolacion” on Feb. 14, which marks the town’s 92nd founding anniversary.

Municipal Councilor Julius Alegado, chairman of the committee on transportation authored the resolution.

To highlight the celebration, a parade will be held which will start from Orosia Food Park at the national highway up to Foodarama Mall in Barangay Poblacion Oriental.

Participants include municipal officials headed by Mayor Teresa Alegado, Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole, municipal councilors, barangay captains, department heads, and employees.

Councilor Alegado told members of the municipal council that there is a need to temporarily adjust the traffic scheme of the national road which will be affected by the parade route.

The adjustment will start at 12 noon on February 14 until 5 p.m. on the same day.

Alegado said the right lane will be used for the parade while the left lane going to Cebu City will be used for two-way traffic.
