CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City Councilor Jimmy Lumapas, in a resolution, wants all 27 barangays in the city to implement an existing ordinance which prohibits any person or entity to attach billboards or anything on trees.
The resolution, which was approved yesterday, states that such an act only shows disrespect to living trees.
“Pahimangno lang nila kay naa pa man dyapon tay makit-an nga mga kahoy sa syudad nga gipamutangan signage nga house for rent, mga billboards sa mga bag-ong malls ug mga tarpaulins,” Lumapas said. – (FREEMAN)
