Storeowner stabbed

CEBU, Philippines - A convenience store owner sustained multiple stab wounds reportedly for refusing to sell more beer to an already drunk customer in Camella Homes, Lawaan, Talisay City at 2:03 p.m. Sunday.

Cenon Yabot, 42, a resident of the place, sustained a stab wound on the left part of his chest, another one on the left side of his body, and three more on his left arm.

According to the police report, before the incident, one Boy Juniverto Alvios, 33, Yabot's neighbor,who was already "unruly," went to Yabot's store to buy a bottle of beer, but the store owner denied him as he was already drunk.

Allegedly, Alvios got angry at Yabot.

When Yabot went out of the store, Alvios, who was allegedly waiting for him, attacked him with a knife.

Yabot defended himself, but be that as it may, was hit in the different parts of his body.

He was rushed to the South General Hospital in the City of Naga.

Alvios was mauled by bystanders and turned over to the police. (FREEMAN)
