Burglars take P100T from couple in M'daue

CEBU, Philippines - A couple, while out of town for a week, lost more than P100 thousand worth of jewelry and other personal belongings to burglars who broke into their rented room at Dona Rosario Village in barangay Labogon, Mandaue City.

Couple Adonis and Marian Silud discovered the lost of their jewelry and personal belongings around 8 am Wednesday morning when they came home from the trip.

Among the items lost were two pieces of chain bracelets worth P30,000, a Casio wristwatch P4,000, a Sony slim camera worth P15,000, a pair of diamond earrings worth P35,000, and an HP laptop worth P25,000.

During the ocular inspection, the police discovered that the burglars gained entry by detaching the window type air conditioner and left this on the couple's bed.

The house's security alarm was also disabled. - THE FREEMAN
