CEBU, Philippines - A motorcycle-for-hire driver was allegedly stunned when his passengers which he took to barangay Tanke, Talisay City, Wednesday dawn grabbed his motorcycle and ran away with it.
Randy "RG" Gonzaga, 26, of Springwood, Minglanilla town, immediately reported the matter to the Talisay City Police Station.
Based on the initial investigation conducted by SPO1 Eric Enad and PO2 Roy Lofranco, two men hailed Gonzaga in Minglanilla and asked to be brought to Tanke.
At a public cemetery in the area, one of the two passengers pointed a gun at Gonzaga and told him they were only interested in his motorcycle.
Gonzaga quickly got off and surrendered it to the two men who sped off to the direction of barangay Poblacion.
Gonzaga told police he had rented the vehicle from someone named "Neneng" of Minglanilla.
Gonzaga said he could identify the two men who did not cover their faces if he meets them again.
In another development, police recovered at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday an abandoned blue motorcycle (6127-YB) in Victoria Village, Tabunok.
Lofranco said the police will show the motorcycle to Gonzaga.
Gonzaga failed to give the police the plate number of the stolen motorcycle. — THE FREEMAN
