CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government is now prioritizing programs and projects that benefit children and senior citizens.
Mayor Paz Radaza said her administration has implemented the Add QuaLiTY program, which stands for "Adding Quality Life to Years" with the help of the Office for Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) of Lapu-Lapu City.
The city government provides its 13,000 members a welcome party, birthday cake, Christmas gift of P1,000.00, and burial assistance of P5,000.
The city also provides senior citizens 100% free hospitalization in the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital and at the Sta. Rosa Community Hospital.
The city government is also planning to convert the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital to a tertiary hospital so that patients admitted can avail of the services of the national government offices such as PhilHealth.
