CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested four members of a street gang called “Crips” for loitering Tuesday noon near the Tabok National High School and seized a loaded .38 cal. revolver.
Barangay tanod Edgar Suico became suspicious when he saw the four, two of whom juveniles, hanging around the school. He sought his fellow tanods and confronted the group.
During the questioning, the two men, Julian Seno and Richard Melendres, 20, and the two 16-year-old boys admitted being Crips members and that they reside in sitio Lug-ang in barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City.
Melendres yielded a gun when frisked.
The group was turned over to the police in barangay Basak and charges of illegal possession of firearm and vagrancy were filed against Melendres.
The three others were charged with vagrancy.
The two juveniles were turned over to the City Social Welfare Services (CSWS).
