Man arrested for alleged possession of shabu

CEBU, Philippines - The police inTalisay City, who had gone to barangay Tangke to investigate a stabbing incident yesterday arrested a 25-year-old man they caught reportedly in possession of shabu.

SInsp. Errol Francisco Deveyra, acting police chief, together with five of his men were walking in that densely populated village of Tanke to conduct follow up operations in connection with the stabbing incident which injured a certain Renato Cabadilla the other day, when they saw Gemer Taghoy in possession of a substance contained in a small plastic pack, which was believed to be shabu.

Taghoy was reportedly about to give the pack to someone.

When he saw the police coming, he quickly stashed it in a corner.          But one of the police saw him do it, and arrested him.

Taghoy, who is a resident of sitio Dawis, barangay San Roque, said the small pack costs P300.

The suspect is now detained at the Talisay City Police Station while the charges against him are being prepared. — (FREEMAN)
