CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday a 62-year-old man who runs an internet café business in sitio Saac in barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City for allegedly allowing boys aged five and six years old to download pornographic pictures from computers.
Juan Catag-Catag, 62, a resident of the place, claimed he had no knowledge his computers contained pornography because the previous owners after selling the computers to him never said these contained pornography.
He also claimed he did not bother to check the contents for the reason that he was computer-illiterate.
But the police seized the computers just the same regardless of the allegations because they themselves saw the boys staring at the pictures.
Seven computers are placed in an open space in his house.
Catag-Catag charges one peso for three minutes of use of any of the computers.
P C/Insp. Conrado Manatad, the chief of the Pusok police station, said the police will file a case against Catag-Catag who is temporarily detained. — (FREEMAN)
