CEBU, Philippines - A man who masqueraded as an agent of the National Bureau of Investigation was arrested by the police of the Subangdaku station Wednesday evening after berating attendants of a gasoline station.
Alfredo Reyes, 38, married, of barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City was arrested after Michael Arbois, supervisor of the Petron gasoline station along M.C Briones Street in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue informed police about an NBI agent who was making a scene at the gasoline station.
For talking arrogantly and harassing the attendants, police said Reyes could have been drunk.
At the gas station, PO3 Wendell Belandres asked Reyes for identification and since he could not prove he was an NBI agent as he had alleged, the police took him with them.
The man is being detained at the police station where a case of usurpation of person in authority and violation of the city ordinance for drunkenness is being prepared against him. (FREEMAN)
