CEBU, Philippines - A 44-year-old man who had spent time in jail for a drug offense was again arrested Wednesday during a buy-bust operation in sitio Liong, barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City.
The City Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Group, led by CAIDSOTG chief P/Insp Henrix Bancoleta, arrested Sesino Bilocura, of Visitacion Street, Jones Avenue, Cebu City, after three days of surveillance.
Police said the transaction between Bilocura and the poseur buyer took place on a roadside in sitio Liong.
After the exchange of alleged shabu and buy-bust money, the police moved in.
Bilocura yielded more alleged shabu when frisked. The marked money was also seized.
He is being detained.
Bancoleta denied allegations his team had asked for money in ex-change for Bilocura's freedom.
He was earlier interviewed by radio dySS yesterday morning and alleged that the police had asked money from him.
Bancoleta said the suspect has to prove his allegations in court.
Bilocura had spent time at the Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center (BBRC).
Bancoleta said Bilocura resides in Cebu City but frequented Mandaue to deliver illegal drugs.
