Triple A Power: Al Galang, An Estrada and Anna Bonnevie on NU 107's "The Magazine Show" tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - Yoga is a 4,000-year-old Indian philosophy that has prevailed well into the 21st century and is practiced by celebrities like Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sting.  Now that yoga studios abound in Manila, Filipinos have joined the bandwagon in the hopes of not only a Hollywood-worthy body, but in search of spiritual enlightenment.Tomorrow, Aug. 14 on NU 107’s The Magazine Show, yoga teacher Al Galang will be talking about his yogic journey. After studying at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Al Galang committed two years to the headquarters of Bikram Yoga College of India, culminating in his certification as a Bikram Yoga teacher. In October 2006, he arrived in the Philippines to carry out his long-standing dream to open a yoga studio in his homeland. His vision of a studio that provides a unique, proactive, and caring approach to physical and mental wellness is realized at the recently opened Sundar Bikram Yoga where he is owner and director.

Joining Al for the hour is An Estrada, who is featured in this month’s Stylephile feature of Mega magazine. An is a photographer who discovered her love for art and photography while traveling with her twin sister, En. The two recently showcased their work at The Collective featuring their Polaroid art. They are also compiling their photos and artworks for their first coffee table book and website www.youreviltwin.us

Meryll Yan, the deputy editor and associate publisher of Mega magazine, will round out the guest lineup to talk about their August issue, where she travels to Shanghai for the cover story featuring Celine Lopez, Rissa Mananquil, Patty Betita and Apples Aberin-Sadhwani and discovers beauty and wellness secrets by partaking in a beauty pilgrimage inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love.    

The Magazine Show is hosted by fashion model Raya Mananquil and lifestyle photographer/ free-surfer Mark Dimalanta every Saturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
